How the President of Wild For Reborns got into reborn dolls

Back in 2010, I accidentally found reborns on e-bay. I thought they looked so realistic and me being a big kid at heart asked my hubby for one for Christmas.... Christmas morning I woke up and the doll was sitting in a bouncer with a big bow...I felt like a little girl again as I held the doll..I think I enjoyed Christmas morning more than my boys...LOL I started researching more about reborns and found there were many different sculps out there...that was a mistake...lol I then started buying different reborns from e-bay and then I found a reborn forum where I met Vivian Woolum.. We became great friends and I asked her to make my first toddler which I named Presley..My son told me to do make a youtube channel and that is how I started on You Tube. My oldest son Cody takes a camera and we go out in public to get reactions. The TODAY Show and Anderson Cooper saw my videos and asked me to be on their shows to talk about reborns...Anderson was cute..lol I met alot of nice people in the reborn community. After The TODAY show appearance I came up with the idea of having a reborn fan club but didn't know what to name it.. I was at a school subbing and the theme of their school was Wild For Learning and the letters were in zebra print so that is how I got the name and zebra theme..I'm excited about all the fun things planned for the fan club...I want to thank every one that joined and supported the club...Now let's have fun and go WILD FOR REBORNS!!

I used to only like closed eyed but now I love opned eyed too so I'm a fan of both!!

hello fellow reborn mommy's my name is sarah i first got into reborns almost a year ago but i have always loved baby dolls i have over the years always brought baby dolls that looked real i have also had a very strong maternal instinct but due to health problems i am not able to have a baby so right now my reborns are my baby my first real reborn would i would have to say was purchased back in November of 2011 she was a bergenger kit i got her from a very nice lady in new jersy who was selling her house and her reborns so i saw Mickenzy and i just had to have her i did however just recently gave mickey to a good friend of mine who fell in love with her and she made my friend so happy that i let her adopt her i then in December got Ryan he was made for me by a very nice girl who did not live to far from me and I was going to give Ryan to my best friend as a xmas gift because she gave her son up for adoption and was missing him terribly so that was going to be my gift to her but in the end we realized that at this point in time it would not have been benifisial to have ryan because of medical issues so once again i had Ryan back in my arms my feonce loves ryan like a son and he uses ryan as a traing tool because one day we hope to beable to have a baby of our own weather through natual or adoption or some other means but for right now he is our son. Ryan is expecting a sister soon Her name is going to be Innis she is the sleeping Ariana kit and she will have a coustom made jointed doesuede body and will be about 30 inches tall i cant wait to get her home. you should check out my youtube Mickeysmommy48 i have a contest going on right now i also hope to make some new life long friends and we should mabie try to arrange a big mommy and me day/reborn outing with the wild for reborn club members like if we all got to gether once a year for a Reborn Reunion or something fun like that its just an idea

Becky i would love to help you set that up when you are ready i love planning parties/vacations and i think it would be fun to do it at someplace where we can have fun with our babys i think and take them out and have a rele big MOMMY/DADDY and me day i would love to do it at the happyest place on earth (DISNEYWORLD) its just an idea and it is rele afordable because there are rooms for less than 100 dollars a night its 82 per night and we can also get themepark tickets it would be fun to do for a weekend i can get prices for you just as a bace line i just love planning it gives me something to do when im not working lol its kinda how i relax

That sounds like fun.It would be cool if DisneyWorld would give discounts to our club because Disney can be expensive..It is so expensive to do anything now a days..

I personally like closed eyed babies... They look more realistic to me and look so peaceful

I'm going to get my first reborn baby girl tomorrow ! I'm so happy and can't wait to open her box her name is going to Sophia she's a chubby baby 8 lbs and 23 inches . I glad all of us have a place to go and chat all about our babies
